Thank you
I feel that the services have improved since I last accessed them.
Negative:
- unsure who to ring when for support - IHTT or FR or SPA.
- should we have checked my lithium bloods etc?
Positives:
- in 2013 I removed IHTT from my CP as it was causing me more stress and upset due to issues with appt times, length of visits, team communication, quality of certain staff... I was apprehensive about being referred January 2017, however it's been an amazing and positive experience.
- the staff who I met had many individual strengths that also clearly work well within the team setting.
- agile working has added to the delivery of high quality service. Some advantages being that notes taken are more accurate and depend less on a workers memory.
- the agile appt booking system with a 2 hour slot is brilliant as it gives a clear time scale of an appt versus the old system of morning/afternoon.
- I was reminded of DBT skills and also taught new coping techniques.
- I felt heard and understood.
- the length of appts was appreciated and had positive benefits.
- IHTT did not 'over react' to issues such as self harm and suicidal ideation.
- I was not patronised or looked down on.
- I was treat with respect, compassion, care, & understanding in a supportive and encouraging manner.
- staff 'got' that despite how low and distressed I am that my sense of humour tends to remain. This does sometimes get misunderstood by people around me.
- staff were extremely sensitive about the sexual assaults etc that id been victim of and waited for me to initiate conversation about that if and when I felt the need.
- good communications between IHTT and CMHT.
- I felt and was involved in the care I received, to a level that was appropriate - I have always supported the fact that there are dialogues within MH services that are not for me to know, and that I would not want to know.
In sum: I would like my CP editing to include IHTT as an effective option for crisis care if needed again.
Kind regards to all,
Nicky
